Dr. Covo became interested in breeding and showing Pekingese in the 1980s and served on the Board of Directors of the Pekingese Club of America, while serving as Editor of the PCA Newsletter (Bulletin) and Chairwoman of the PCA Rescue Program. While she showed and championed her own breeding for years, Dr. Covo is perhaps best known as the premier specialist of Parti-color Pekingese.
