The latest novel by Nancy
Ross!
Read all about it!
It's always darkest just
before dawn!
"Mom and Dad, I just want
to tell you about the
dream I had! . . . I dreamed we were all in the
back yard
one night, and . . .
suddenly . . . things went
berserk. . .
."

Ruby was in the pot, the Bean to the side.
There were
three pots of flowers destroyed... (amazing
that no one threw up.
They seemed to especially enjoy the
Violas.)
(Dawn of
Destruction.)
He said, "We've got to act fast so we can get out
of here before the enemy knows we've made
a successful raid." (The Evil Arthur strikes
again.
Please note the leftovers at
the bottom.)
"Hey, gettum guys! I need
help over here, the enemy
has spotted us! Good grief!
It's DAD!! Take cover!'
(Arthur is at it
again.)
"'I told you not to do that,
Bean, I knew you couldn't
get away with
it." "Nag, nag, nag," he said.
(Moment of Peace:
Angel rear, Bean front.)
Angelina (always a good girl, hence her name!)
"Geeesh! Wonder what I just ate! Was
that a salad, or what?
I'll bet Mom has some
Alka Seltzer ...
Hmmm! It had somewhat like an lemony-onion
taste"?
"It's always ARTHUR.....ARTHUR!!!!!! I am the power, the glory,
the PACK LEADER....First to walk, to escape the whelping box,
the fastest, the smartest, first to
bark, holder of the World Peke Puppy
Wrestling Federation Belt. The
first in the flowers....
Arthur does as I command!!! He rolls
over in terror
when I approach. I am RUBY....the symbol
you click is my shining red halo.
I
protest."

"And, then came the dawn. I
awoke, and realized that
I was still the winner. But, who
were those ladies with me? . . .
Why, it was Camille, my Mom's
friend, and Mom.
(You were wearing your pretty red
coat, Mom!)
AND, that OTHER DOG?!!! IT
COULDN'T BE! IT WAS! . . .
IT WAS ANGEL, and THAT WAS NOT
EVEN ME! IT WAS THE BEAN!
Neither ARTHUR nor MYSELF were in
that picture!
WAAAA!!!!"
Mom hugged me and gently wiped away my little tears. She told me that we each have our special place in life, and there are some things that we can do better than others. She petted me, and very quietly whispered to me, (so the others could not hear), that I am the pet of the group, and that I, Ruby, am the most special. I just love it. I'm so happy! Now, I'll have only beautiful dreams! I hope you do, too, because I know you are very special! Goodnight! -- Ruby Ross
